Sheet Metal Manufacturing Associate - Porter Corp

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of product before final shipment
• Drive continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
• Support, participate in, and encourage team building
• Provide feedback (both positive and negative) to the team, other related departments, and the supervisor
• Promote a positive work environment
• Follow all Porter Corp’s procedures and policies
• Work safely and efficiently while staying customer-focused
• Operate a break press, shears, punch, and various other machines/equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Safely and efficiently package finished goods to minimize damage
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of packaged goods shipped to customers

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic sheet metal working methods to ensure quality product delivery
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
• Knowledge of press brakes, shears, and assorted hand tools (preferred)
• Blueprint reading skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Open-minded to new ideas and concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented

This position requires minimal to no travel.
