Responsibilities Fabrication Fabrication involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, welding, and machining to create the desired shape or object per R.T. Moore quality standardsAccurately read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans along with other data, such as work plans, to design welded and machined productsAccurately check the measurements and dimensions of each piece being worked onMake templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work qualityWrite 3-axis CNC Programs Inspect Work and Equipment Constantly inspect equipment Safely operate manual machine tools including CNC mill, manual lathe, tig & mig welderEvaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products Qualifications High school diploma or a GED equivalentTwo or more years of welding experience preferredTwo or more years of CNC experience preferredWelding experienceUnderstanding of construction tasks and industrial processesAbility to comprehend blueprints and work specificationsProficient in operating heavy machineryIndependent problem solverMust be honest, trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethicsEffective verbal and listening communication skillsAbility to collaborate with team members to achieve shared departmental goalsMechanical and mathematical aptitudeBasic hand tool/machine experienceDetail OrientedPhysical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more Must be able to do the following activities for most of the work day: stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, see, talk and hearMust be able to climb or balance regularlyNear constant lifting or carrying of items of various weight, typically up to 10 pounds most of the day.
