Sheet Metal BIM Coordinator

About the role

Our organization is a leading mechanical construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal solutions for commercial and industrial projects. We leverage advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to improve project coordination, enhance constructability, and support efficient fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update 2D and 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Prepare construction layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from BIM Trade Leads, Project Coordinators, and BIM Coordinators.
• Capture and resolve clashes between mechanical, electrical, and structural models.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and company drafting standards.
• Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and ongoing technical training.
• Develop an understanding of mechanical construction processes, prefabrication, and field installation practices.

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent drafting accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn new technical skills and mechanical construction processes.
