Sheet Fed Press Operator - Plant 7

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures as required by the role and adhere to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the Sheet Fed Assistant Press Operator and Sheet Fed Press Feeder Operator.
• Collaborate with other departments such as sheeters and die cutters.
• Set and adjust press machine controls.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and waste according to set standards.
• Comply with and follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Utilize required personal protective equipment and correct safety procedures.
• Keep work area and machine organized and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating a multicolor printing press.
• One or more years' experience preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Fluency in speaking the English language.
• Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
• Ability to give, receive, and analyze information.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
• May require overtime and flexible hours.
• Nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Physical abilities to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 10% of work time.
• Visual acuity to see clearly at 20 inches or less, 20 feet or more, identify and distinguish colors, and adjust eye focus.
• Manual dexterity to use hands for 100% of work time, reach above shoulders for 50% of work time, and use feet to operate machines for 30% of work time.
• Strength to lift 10 pounds or less 25% of work time, 25 pounds or less 30% of work time, 50 pounds or less 25% of work time, and may lift 100 pounds or less 5% of work time.
• May be required to use sense of smell.
