Sheet Extrusion Supervisor Nightshift

Responsible for

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Maintain production records and ensure extruder personnel complete records accurately.
  • Perform inspection and/or audit of finished products on an hourly basis.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
  • Monitor and assess employee performance.
  • Complete Shift activity reports and submit them to Extrusion Manager daily.
  • Relieve team members as needed (breaks, lunches, absent team member, vacation)
  • Maintain housekeeping at a high level in Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder employees.
  • Initiate, recommend, investigate, troubleshoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to products, processes and quality systems.
  • Review production schedules, work orders, and other records/reports to determine production requirement and to evaluate current production workload.
  • Develop and maintain cost-effective processes to increase productivity and employee satisfaction, while reducing waste.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance department to ensure equipment maintenance is scheduled at the most opportune times, to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
