About the Role
The SHC Med Passer plays a critical role in supporting healthcare teams by accurately and safely administering medications to patients within a healthcare or social assistance setting. This position ensures that patients receive their prescribed medications on time, contributing directly to their health and well-being. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to follow medication administration protocols and maintain accurate records. The SHC Med Passer collaborates closely with the program manager, company nurse, and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient responses and report any concerns promptly. Ultimately, this position helps maintain a high standard of patient care and safety through diligent medication management.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to patients according to established schedules and protocols.
- Verify patient identities and medication orders to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of medication administration and any patient reactions.
- Adhere strictly to safety, hygiene, and confidentiality standards in all aspects of medication handling and patient interaction.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified medication administration training program.
- Basic understanding of medication types and dosages.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or social assistance environment.
- Certification as a Medication Administration WI CBRF Certified or similar credential.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and medical terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail is essential when verifying medication orders and patient identities to prevent errors. Familiarity with documentation practices and electronic health records ensures accurate tracking of medication administration. Additionally, interpersonal skills help in building trust with patients and supporting a collaborative healthcare environment.
Schedule
Saturday and Sunday during scheduled med pass times: 8am–9am, 11am–12pm, 4pm–5pm, 8pm–9pm.
Pay
Hourly wage: $26–$30.
