SharePoint SME

Responsibilities

• File Share to SharePoint Online Migration Expertise leveraging Migration Manager and ShareGate
• Design migrations, perform pre-scans, execute incremental migrations, handle permissions, troubleshoot failures, and validate results
• Understand sites, hubs, Teams-connected sites, document libraries, permissions, retention, sensitivity labels, search, metadata, and lifecycle governance
• Design site structures, navigation, content organization, metadata, ownership models, and search experiences
• Understand NTFS permissions, Active Directory groups, Entra ID groups, SharePoint permissions, inheritance, external sharing, and access remediation
• Work with executives, site owners, SMEs, legal teams, governance teams, and technical teams while managing expectations and securing decisions
• Manage migration waves, resource constraints, dependencies, schedules, hypercare, cutovers, and status tracking
• Interview stakeholders, identify working groups, understand business needs, and translate requirements into technical solutions
