SharePoint Developer
About the role
A Software Developer supporting the customer will work across several applications supporting the customer's development activity. A typical day includes utilizing SharePoint skills and third-party tools to create tailored solutions, building and managing intranet sites with integrated analytics using custom software, working both with existing teams and independently on customer projects, and utilizing client-side scripting and various web technologies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize SharePoint skills and third-party tools to create tailored solutions, including enhancing existing websites.
- Build and manage intranet sites with integrated analytics using custom software.
- Work with existing teams and independently on customer projects.
- Utilize client-side scripting and an array of web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, SPS, XML, XPath, CSS, and AJAX.
- Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and applications software.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years related experience.
- Current, on-the-job experience designing custom web applications for SharePoint 2013 or 2016 using MS Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, and third-party tools.
- Experience with server-side scripting with PowerShell and/or Ansible.
- Experience with data migration from Lotus Notes databases to SharePoint and/or web environments.
- Experience with agile development solutions to resolve high-priority issues.
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools, including templates using Joomla and WordPress.
- Experience in providing support to develop Web-based applications from concept to completion, implementing customer requirements, and presenting innovative design layouts.
- Experience in providing support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.
- Experience with HTML coding, 508 compliance, graphics, and content updates, web crawls, and analytics reports.
- Knowledge of MS Software Development Life Cycle and cycle and process methodologies.
- Strong understanding of relational database design and web technologies.
- Competent in technical writing and capable of working in a fast-paced, small team environment under minimal supervision.
- Experience with databases, MS operating systems, MS Office suites, anti-virus software, and backup/recovery software.
- Experience with Lotus Notes support and WordPress.
