Shared Services Certified Chemistry Teacher

Clarkston Community Schools is seeking a Certified Chemistry Teacher for the 26/27 school year at St Mary's Preparatory High School.

About the role

The ideal candidate will hold a valid 6-12 Michigan Teaching Certification with a Chemistry endorsement (DC, DX, DP or DI). They should be willing and able to work cooperatively on a teaching team, demonstrate successful attainment, excellent student teaching and/or teaching experiences, and have a willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach chemistry courses to students in grades 6-12.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers on the teaching team.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as needed.

Requirements

• Valid 6-12 Michigan Teaching Certification with Chemistry endorsement.
• Willingness to work cooperatively on a teaching team.
• Successful attainment, excellent student teaching and/or teaching experiences.
• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities.
• Computer/Technology knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, E-Mail, Google, creation of web pages, etc.

Qualifications

• Credential file documentation of successful attainment, excellent student teacher and/or teaching experiences.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
