About the role
Share your home and help an adult with a developmental disability to live in a family setting. As a Shared Living Provider, you open your home to support individuals with education, employment, day-to-day activities, family inclusion, independent living skills, and serve as an important member of the person’s team in identifying and achieving their personal life goals.
Requirements
- Successfully pass comprehensive background checks per state regulations/policies.
- Must rent or own your home or apartment.
- The individual must have their own bedroom.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Maine driver’s license in good standing and insured reliable transportation.
- Basic phone and computer skills required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently.
- Current certifications or the ability to obtain required trainings and certifications to include DSP, CRMA, First Aid/CPR. (training can be provided).
