Job Description Job Summary As an SS Operator 1, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance support on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on (and cleaning) a variety of technologies including, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF). The primary duty is to unload Process Filter Presses. Duties & Responsibilities Empty Process Filter PressesPower Wash Pits and Equipment, including Confined Space EntryCarry out filter changes, process cleaning, and process operations as directed by Shift LeadsMaintain site paperwork and provide summaries of work performedCommunicate with Shift Lead on inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement partsMonitor and maintain systems as directedPerform analytical testing as directedMaintain a clean work areaOther duties as assigned Key Characteristics Consult with Shift Lead and operation teams for directionOperate, monitor, and optimize equipment as directedChange and Clean Filters and other equipment / PitsConduct maintenance and calibration activities Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent mechanical know-howAbility and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterityAbility and willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities Required Education & Experience: High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment Preferred Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation Additional Information Join a company that values Responsibility, Solidarity, Innovation, Customer Focus, and Respect.
