Shaping and Slicing Operator

Duties & Responsibilities

• Empty Process Filter Presses
• Power Wash Pits and Equipment, including Confined Space Entry
• Carry out filter changes, process cleaning, and process operations as directed by Shift Leads
• Maintain site paperwork and provide summaries of work performed
• Communicate with Shift Lead on inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain systems as directed
• Perform analytical testing as directed
• Maintain a clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

Key Characteristics

• Consult with Shift Lead and operation teams for direction
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment as directed
• Change and Clean Filters and other equipment / Pits
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent mechanical know-how
• Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
• Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
• Required Education & Experience: High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Preferred Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation
