Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Complies with all OTC company policies and safe driving methods
- Demonstrate cognitive abilities, by following directions and routines
- Identifies logical connections, determines sequence of response, and is able to plan / think ahead
- Flexibility in schedule due to operation needs, weather circumstances and location
- Operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Grasp, reach, and maintain control of equipment and accessories associated with assigned tasks such as coupling, uncoupling, and driving
- Exhibit spatial awareness
- Able to communicate using mobile communication devices
- May be necessary to work required extra hours, including weekends, based on business needs
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
- Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
- Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old due to insurance and labor law requirements
- Pass standard DOT physical and drug screen recertification
- A valid CDL A license and driving record in accordance with OTC standards is required for operation of company vehicles
- Average reading ability and basic counting and mathematical skills
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team environment
- Ability to respond with flexibility to changing work demands
- Ability to perform all required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all vehicles
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to squat and/or bend frequently
- Ability to reach overhead to 72” with both arms
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Occasionally lift 75 lbs
- Occasionally push/pull totes and rolling carts with up to 50 lbs of force
- Ability to work in elevated work areas up to 28 feet high
- Occasionally climb stairs and frequently utilize step stools to access assigned work zones and product
