Job Description: Job: Shag Driver Shift: Monday - Friday (1:30pm - 10:00pm) Location: Royal Canin (North Sioux City, SD) Royal Canin is seeking Shag Driver to join our exciting pet food business at a North Sioux City manufacturing plant. What are we looking for? Fast Paced Work EnvironmentWearing proper personal protective equipment (Safety glasses, bump cap, safety shoes, and uniform).Forklift assignments require certification and getting on and off frequently.Class A CDL or ability to secure within 90 days of hire Key Functional Skills/Knowledge: Good knowledge of production processes, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards.General understanding of Start Up, Operation, Shut Down, & Cleaning equipmentThe ability to assist and troubleshoot equipment.The ability to assist with quality checks and document results using a database collection system using a computer or IPad.Food Manufacturing experienceKnowledge or Familiar with NexusFamiliar with the MSDS databaseKnowledge of Near Miss ReportingFamiliar with Adams Bradley Systems or other displays Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.1+ years of manufacturing experience.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Ability to quickly respond.Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfacesComputer / IPad literate with the ability to enter, record, maintain, and retrieve data. Performs all assigned activities & job tasksOperates equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level.Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments and malfunction troubleshootingPerforms all shift support documentation in a quality matterAble to operate a forklift.Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systemsUnderstands principles of inventory control.Has knowledge of the plant's products and goals.Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions.Has general knowledge of Mars & the systems used by the business.
