About the role
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has a position open for a Sexual, Intimate Partner Violence, and Stalking Advocate to join the staff of Survivor Support Services in the Division of Student Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and resource coordination.
- Serve on various university committees and assist survivors with obtaining accommodations for course work.
- Support survivors through university proceedings, including student conduct and academic accommodations.
- Work some evening hours as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; 2 years of experience working as an advocate or related experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work or related field; Public Health background; Experience working specifically within a higher education setting; Knowledge of federal compliance related to Title IX and the Clery Act.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $68,000. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
