Responsibilities

• Organize SANE services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to patients, in conjunction with hospital leadership.
• Ensure responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing care provided, program evaluation, clinical orientation, mentoring, consultation, and maintenance of state and national standards of care.
• Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to sexual assault victims, including forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, and referrals for medical and psychological follow-up.
• Support and participate in legal proceedings as required.
• Follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the SANE program.
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completed approved Illinois SANE training (40 hours of Didactic coursework).
• One (1) year of experience as a SANE required.
• ED (Emergency Department) experience preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $105,372.80 to $141,814.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
