About the role

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role requires a mix of customer interaction, inventory management, and physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and service customers over the phone, in person, and through virtual chats, demonstrating genuine enthusiasm and clear communication.
• Manage customer flow using all necessary systems to ensure a five-star customer experience.
• Resolve customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary and working collaboratively with leadership.
• Promote alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships with customers.
• Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
• Perform duties as assigned by store management, including maintaining a clean and organized alterations room.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience is helpful.
• Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform physical tasks like pressing and steaming garments.
• Good manual dexterity for handling computer equipment and performing fitting tasks.
