Job Summary
Jefferson County is seeking a Sewer Maintenance Superintendent to oversee construction, repair, and maintenance of pump stations. Key responsibilities include liaising with various entities, consulting on system improvements, preparing estimates, ensuring equipment maintenance, and managing budgets.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $74,068 - $114,899. Comprehensive benefits include medical and dental insurance, a pension plan, and generous paid leave.
Minimum Qualifications
- Driver's license.
- Grade 1C Wastewater Collection System Certification from ADEM.
- Experience supervising field personnel.
- Experience preparing field reports.
- Experience developing and monitoring budgets.
- Experience reading and interpreting sewer plans.
- Experience with GIS mapping software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pump station monitoring.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing systems.
- Experience with safety protocols.
Typical Job Duties

Physical Demands
