Sewer 2

Responsibilities

• Handle, position, and move garment materials through the sewing machine.
• Thread machines, change bobbins, and replace needles.
• Sew various garment materials together, including zippers, hook and loop, webbing, pockets, and openings.
• Replenish garment materials for the sewing machine.
• Utilize the metric measuring system to measure garment materials.
• Complete repairs and rework non-conforming materials identified during inspections.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Sewer Level-Specific Duties

Sewer Level 1

• Perform various stitching patterns and specialized stitching functions with frequent supervision.
• Complete closure and top-stitch sewing on all garments.
• Operate a single needle and bar tacking machine with guidance.
• Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in tasks.

Sewer Level 2

• Operate sewing machines including Single Needle, Double Needle, Button Hole Machine, Button Sewing Machine, Bar Tacking Machine, Binding Machine, and Merro Machine with minimal guidance.
• Sew various garment materials such as pockets and openings.
• Perform various stitching patterns and specialized stitching functions with moderate supervision.

Sewer Level 3

• Sew various garment materials, including daypacks, with minimal guidance and good quality.
• Examine sewing machines to identify defects in stitching or machine malfunctions.

Sewer Level 4

• Perform various stitching patterns and specialized stitching functions with no supervision.
• Adapt easily and sew in any department as needed.
• Sew efficiently with the best quality.
• Analyze a sample and sew it independently.
• Guide Sewer Levels 1, 2, and 3 if needed.
• Serve as a backup Team Leader if needed.
