Setup & Refurb Technician

Job Summary

Setup & Refurb Technicians recondition equipment to a new-like condition for customers. Duties include maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring product quality, improving efficiency, and using various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe work environment
• Ensure products meet quality and performance standards
• Recondition parts and equipment as directed
• Interior and exterior cleaning, painting, and maintenance
• Dismantling of old machines
• Aid with inventory, warehouse, and delivery preparations
• Complete assigned tasks within scheduling deadlines
• Identify and recommend efficiency improvements
• Test equipment to verify operability before returning to inventory
• Use associated programs for logging daily assignments
• Operate as a team player and help unify the team
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse setting with a technical/repair lab, shipping and receiving area, and equipment setup and reconditioning environment. Routine use of standard electronic/mechanical testing equipment, hand lifts, forklifts, and hand tools. Occasional overtime required. Office equipment includes computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Qualifications

• High School Degree / GED
• 1+ year of professional work experience, electronics experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability in electrical/mechanical or ability to learn
• Demonstrated ability in electrical/mechanical testing equipment or ability to learn
• Operate within corporate policy guidelines and business practices
• Results-oriented with strong sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough, and a problem-solver
• Ability to adapt to workplace changes or assignment of duties
