Settlement Analyst
Our Customer is an American multinational beverage corporation headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with interests in manufacturing, retailing, and marketing nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. With around 200 brands and 700,000+ employees across the company and bottling partners, they are passionate about beverages worldwide. This role is located in Atlanta, GA. Candidates must have their own laptops.
About the role
We are seeking a Settlement Analyst on a contract basis to support the Customer’s business needs. As a vital part of the Supply Chain Services and Digital Transformation team, the Freight Settlement Consultant will help lead the digital transformation of freight invoicing and payment. This individual contributor role will support and collaborate with Global Logistics Service (GLS), CPS plants, Global IT, and key 3PLs.
Your primary focus will be on strengthening process discipline, user engagement, and change management to drive improvements in the global supply chain.
Onsite Schedule: Hybrid: Tuesday - Thursday expected to be onsite. Week of training expected to be onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee freight settlement activities across 9 CPS plants.
- Support freight settlement in the areas of dispute resolution, audit compliance, and payment terms adherence.
- Perform regular audits of lane and rate master data to proactively avoid settlement disputes.
- Evaluate and verify contracts, tariffs, and other service-related agreements to ensure compliance with freight settlement processes.
- Collaborate with operational teams to clarify any discrepancies in freight invoices and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track freight costs, documenting all data accurately for an efficient settlement process.
- Assist in audits and investigations related to freight charges, providing necessary documentation and data as required.
- Support disputes related to freight settlements, liaising with operations, vendors, and suppliers to resolve any conflicts.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in freight settlement processes.
- Maintain constant communication with the accounts payable and receivable departments, ensuring all freight payments and bills are settled on schedule.
- Continuous communication with CPS plants and Carriers/3PLs (Senior Management) to ensure execution of digital Transportation strategies, improve performance, and build strong relationships.
- Strong collaboration with CPS Plants and key 3PL partners.
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate efforts to accomplish goals.
- Drive innovation by generating new solutions and embracing new ideas that help sustain the business.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in freight settlement, carrier invoice validation, dispute resolution, and financial reconciliation.
- Strong process documentation skills with the ability to develop SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and standardized procedures.
- Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively despite language barriers.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as Fourkites, S4H TM, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of current industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in transportation and logistics.
- Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model scenarios and analyze impact, risks, and benefits.
- Ability to work as part of a virtual global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams or projects.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
