Why You Will Love this Job

Join our team as a Set-Up – Machining and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. In this role, you’ll lead and support machining operators, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. You’ll be hands-on with machine setup, blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and quality inspections (including CMM equipment) while helping train and guide others on the floor. This is not a machine operator role — setup experience is required. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with your hands, and building quality products, this is the role for you.

Shift Options

1st Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM), with overtime opportunities. Includes +$2/hr weekend premium.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following plant safety policies and practicing 5S.
  • Maintain and operate machines to run production at specified rates.
  • Complete and record TPM and quality checks to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Record production, quality, and productivity data accurately.
  • Run CMM reports and make machine adjustments as needed.
  • Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and gauges to measure and verify quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, control charts, and specifications; convert metric to inches when needed.
  • Train and support new associates on machining processes.
  • Apply basic root cause analysis when solving issues.
  • Work with engineers, inspectors, and maintenance teams to keep equipment and processes running effectively.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment while leading operators in your area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of the Set-Up Training course.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or machine shop environment using precision measuring instruments.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.50 to $26.80. The final offer will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and work location.
