About the role
The Department of Physiology, University of Toronto (St. George campus) is recruiting a Sessional Lecturer to teach the renal section of PSL201Y (Basic Human Physiology) during Fall 2026. The course runs from September 2026 to April 2027, including term tests and examinations. The estimated course enrolment is 120 students, with 1 TA support.
Responsibilities
- Delivering 5 x 50 min of pre-recorded lectures on renal physiology
- Delivering online help sessions
- Creating term test questions, final exam questions, make-up test and make-up final exam questions
- Interacting with the Course Director or the Department of Physiology Undergraduate Coordinator
Qualifications
- PhD in physiology or related discipline
- Quercus experience required
- Lecturing experience in renal physiology, teaching large classes, and previous teaching in PSL300/301H or PSL201Y are assets
Pay
In accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the rate of pay for teaching in this course will be $2,399.39, inclusive of vacation pay.
Schedule
The sessional dates of appointment are November 2026 to January 2027.
