Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance, repair, and servicing work on thermal process systems (mechanical and electrical)
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on electrical controls, sensors, burner controls, control cabinets, and HMI systems
• Performing PLC diagnostics and basic programming work (Siemens TIA Portal / STEP 7), including adjustment of process parameters
• Inspection and repair of heat exchangers, gas-fired burners, and smoke generators, as well as ensuring optimal system performance
• Fast and efficient on-site service assignments to minimize production downtimes
• Performing scheduled service and safety inspections to comply with food and quality standards
• Creating service reports and training customer personnel in operation, cleaning (CIP), and basic troubleshooting

Requirements

• Successfully completed technical vocational training (e.g., mechatronics technician, electrician) with further training as a master craftsman or technician, or a comparable qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, system installation, or technical troubleshooting – ideally in the meat processing industry
• Solid knowledge of relevant industrial standards (NFPA 70 / NEC) as well as experience in Siemens programming
• OSHA certification or good knowledge of relevant safety regulations is an advantage
• Ability to read and implement technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and parts lists
• High willingness to travel and very good spoken and written English skills
• Independent, structured working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
• MS Office skills
• Pneumatics and/or welding skills are an advantage
