Services Procurement Associate

About the Role
As the Services Procurement Associate, you will create, implement, manage, and negotiate multiple competitive bid processes for services related to the development, design, and construction of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. You will support the procurement team in supplier qualification, market data analysis, process improvement, and other organizational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Services & Materials Procurement Manager with developing contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Review and levelize vendor proposals, identify potential risks, and negotiate contracts for optimal value.
- Serve as a liaison between Procurement, Development, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Legal, and Asset Management departments.
- Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies for the company’s project development, construction, and operations.
- Expedite internal and external stakeholders to meet critical milestones during the RFP process.
- Manage supplier relationships and interfaces throughout the RFP process.
- Maintain responsibility for RFP package preparation, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract approval.
- Assist in creating and documenting a competitive bid process for organizational use.
- Support the contract award process and present award recommendations to executive management.
- Track and document cost savings and value improvements.
- Assist in training personnel on procurement procedures, negotiations, and contract management.
- Develop standardized processes and templates for contracting efforts.
- Manage documentation, contracts, budgets, schedules, engineering and construction interfaces, project correspondence, and reporting.
- Organize and prepare agendas for supplier meetings with Procurement personnel.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members and facilitate internal reviews.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in supply chain, business operations, engineering, construction management, or industry manufacturing, including external contract negotiation for services.
- Utility-scale renewable energy project procurement experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with procurement, contract, and project management preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of competitive bid processes for construction and engineering services, as well as negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- PMP Certification is highly desirable.
- Travel: 10% as needed.
