About the role

The ServiceNow Systems Architect supports the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services Program and USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL. This role leads the design, implementation, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform to align with business objectives while ensuring system stability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and maintain the overall architecture of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Align the platform with business objectives while ensuring system stability, security, and performance.
  • Deliver scalable and upgrade-safe solutions.
  • Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Ensure minimal disruption and optimal performance during system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams.
  • Create and maintain governance standards for the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including 3+ years in an architect or lead role.
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITOM, ITAM, and SPM implementation.
  • Strong understanding of system security, ACLs, and certificate management.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow development tools.
  • Active Secret DoD clearance, with willingness and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Database management, including managing MariaDB installation, optimization, indexing, and coding to support platform performance.
  • Security and compliance, including configuring and maintaining system ACLs, certificates, and security protocols to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Monitoring and risk management, including monitoring system stability, conducting risk assessments, and implementing measures to prevent service degradation or interruptions.
  • Reporting and analytics, including developing dashboards, KPIs, and reports to provide visibility into portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering scalable and upgrade-safe solutions.
  • Experience leading the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow platforms.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow development tools.
  • Knowledge of ITOM, ITAM, and SPM implementation.
  • Understanding of system security, ACLs, and certificate management.
  • Ability to manage and optimize database performance.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO, and other integration protocols.
  • Experience with ITOM and ITAM modules.
  • Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management modules.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in Demand, Project, Portfolio, and Resource Management.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools.
