Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end ServiceNow architecture, solution design, and implementation strategy; own the platform roadmap from discovery through go-live and optimization.
  • Direct delivery teams (developers, functional analysts, administrators, testers) on complex, multi-module implementations (ITSM, CSM, HRSD, GRC, FSO, etc); ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and platform governance.
  • Engage C-suite (CIO, CTO, CFO, business unit leaders), IT leadership (Senior Directors, Directors, Release Train Engineers), and cross-functional business stakeholders to define strategic platform vision, business outcomes, and change management; serve as the trusted technical advisor on ServiceNow strategy and organizational impact.
  • Define scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture solutions for ServiceNow modules, integrations, and custom applications.
  • Design platform architecture, data models, integration patterns, and data governance frameworks aligned with client regulatory and operational requirements in partnership with other IT teams.
  • Collaborate with IT project managers and business analysts to translate business requirements into ServiceNow solution designs and detailed user stories.
  • Ensure solution alignment with enterprise architecture, business needs, and platform best practices.
  • Review technical design documents, data models, and integration patterns for quality and compliance.
  • Lead scope management, risk mitigation, and escalation resolution on complex implementations; drive accountability for schedule, technical quality, and business outcomes.
  • Partner with IT project managers, implementation partners, developers, and systems integrators; coordinate delivery across internal and external teams to ensure alignment, knowledge transfer, and sustainable handoffs.
  • Assess existing ServiceNow instances (e.g., CMDB/CSDM health, configuration debt, data model governance, upgrade readiness); recommend remediation and optimization strategies.
  • Participate in and/or lead governance boards, steering committees, and strategy forums; serve as the primary escalation point for technical strategy, business alignment, and change management decisions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept demonstrations, technical specifications, and detailed business cases quantifying platform value and organizational outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor junior architects, functional leads, and delivery teams on ServiceNow best practices, design patterns, and implementation methodology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in ServiceNow Platform Expertise (Primary Focus), preferably in ServiceNow solution architecture, implementation, and delivery.
  • Eight (8) or more years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple product lines (ITSM, CSM, HRSD, GRC, FSO, SAM, or equivalent)
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) Certified Master Architect (CMA) Enterprise Architecture Certification
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow Financial Services Operations (FSO), Software Asset Management (SAM) modules, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), SPM, or AI.
  • Strong knowledge of core ServiceNow platform capabilities: application configuration, scripting (JavaScript, Glide), integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft), workflow design, and data modeling
  • Strong written communication; ability to develop compelling business cases, technical specifications, executive summaries, and board presentations
  • Ability to manage delivery teams (5-50 people across functional and technical disciplines); drive accountability for schedule, quality, and business outcomes
  • Skilled at leading 3+ complex, multi-year ServiceNow implementations from design through go-live and post-go-live optimization
  • Skilled at distilling complexity into clear narratives; ability to quantify platform value and organizational impact (operational efficiency, cost reduction, business process improvement)
  • Skilled with consulting or systems integrator background, advising clients on platform strategy
  • Experience with published thought leadership (blog posts, industry papers, conference presentations) on ServiceNow implementation or digital transformation
  • Knowledge of core commercial business functions and workflows that ServiceNow supports (finance, operations, IT service delivery, HR)
  • Knowledge of Bravium and the governance platform
  • Knowledge of multi-divisional or multi-geography operating models and how ServiceNow scales across complex organizational structures
