ServiceNow Developer II

About the role

This position is based out of The Woodlands, TX and New Orleans, LA. This position will be filled as a Cloud Specialist II. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop application features with configuration and custom code development.
• Develop agency solutions on the ServiceNow platform - using native ServiceNow AI tools and integrations with third-party platforms.
• Absorb changes, upgrades, and tests with support providers for external integrations and systems.
• Participate in peer reviews for application changes.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, demo, and release planning.
• Create workflows and build service requests based on customers' specifications.
• Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionalities to automate rote tasks.
• Perform system and integration testing; and monitor health, usage, and overall compliance within the application.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Support the daily operations of our ServiceNow core platform and all modules in use - includes monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and security compliance.

  Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education and experience required of the position: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or other technical area of study OR equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Cloud Specialist II: minimum 2-4 years working as a software developer for an enterprise platform.
  • Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid familiarity with AI systems and architectures.
  • Proven experience working with Agile development teams.
  • Experience with JavaScript is required.
  • Familiarity with software development and design methodologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  Desired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Prior ServiceNow experience.
  • Prior experience developing AI systems.
  • Understanding of enterprise system design patterns and best practices.
  • Understanding of design thinking techniques including Personas, Journey Maps, and Business Model Canvas.
