Service Technician (Toyota of Bellingham)

About the role

Toyota of Bellingham is growing and is seeking Service Technicians at various experience levels. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing customer vehicles while contributing to a positive dealership experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles
• Work on brakes, suspension, steering, engines, drivetrains, HVAC, exhaust, electrical systems, and more
• Road test vehicles for diagnostics and quality control
• Complete repairs safely and according to manufacturer standards
• Document your work clearly with condition, cause, and correction notes
• Communicate repair recommendations with Service Advisors and Parts
• Use the DMS, dispatch system, and repair order process properly
• Keep your bay, tools, and shared work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety, dealership, and environmental procedures
• Stay current with factory training, technical bulletins, and repair procedures

Requirements

• Automatic or manual automotive service or repair experience
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
• A safety-first mindset
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to document work accurately
• A team-focused attitude
• A willingness to keep learning and improving

Qualifications

• ASE certification is a plus
• Toyota or Lexus experience is a plus
• Dealership experience is a plus
• Hybrid or EV experience is a plus
• Warranty repair experience is a plus
• DMS experience is a plus
• Strong diagnostic or electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus
