Service Technician (Summerly at Zanjero)

About the role

At Mark-Taylor, we are seeking a Service Technician to join our team at Summerly at Zanjero in Glendale, AZ. This role involves keeping our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensuring the pool is in proper chemical balance and the area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience as a Service Technician, or similar title, in the multi-family industry required.
• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Strong HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00-23.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.

Compensation

Compensation for this position includes a base pay range of $22.00-23.00/hour, plus an additional $3.00/hour incentive for on-call hours. Additional hourly pay is provided for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.
