Service Technician - Light Duty Truck Mechanic

About the role

Bob Bell Chevrolet in Baltimore is now hiring a Light Duty Truck Technician with a preference for diesel experience. This position offers a state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled facility, excellent benefits, and the potential for great income in a busy service center.

Responsibilities

- Perform quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. - Specialize in truck and diesel repairs (preferred). - Accurately complete repair orders with efficiency and attention to detail. - Test components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools. - Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional work needed and time estimates. - Execute manufacturer warranty repairs to specification. - Test-drive vehicles before and after service as needed.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of technician experience required. - Maryland State Inspection License a plus. - GM-certified technicians encouraged to apply. - Solid skills in diagnostics, engine, electrical, and mechanical repair (B-level or higher). - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver’s license with a clean record. - Strong communication and customer service mindset. - Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude. - Ability to learn new technology and operate electronic diagnostic tools.
