About the Role
A Service Technician is the front line and point person for our brand to the rider, driving outstanding in-store brand experiences. You’ll work directly with riders—both in-person and remote—to identify and provide the goods, services, and experiences they need to keep riding longer and better. As a Service Technician, you’ll serve as a host, mentor, brand advocate, and technical service expert, collaborating with staff and local riders to enhance rider satisfaction and support sales and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
- Connect with riders, ask qualifying questions, and listen to their needs to provide tailored solutions from our service menu or à la carte offerings.
- Speak authoritatively on technical matters related to our bicycles and act as the expert.
- Deliver enthusiastic, courteous, and “wow” customer service.
- Properly intake all service work, set and exceed rider expectations, and accurately complete service work orders and scheduling.
- Advise and assist customers with product/service selection without bias.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all merchandise in the department to provide accurate information and stay current with new product lines.
- Assist with bike sales through technical consulting and other floor duties as needed.
- Ensure best-in-class rider service to drive ongoing satisfaction.
- Maintain general cleanliness standards, including light janitorial duties, from store opening to close.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Lightspeed point-of-sale systems and store operational websites.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
- Bike shop or bike mechanic experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with riders and team members.
- Ability to work weekends as dictated by business needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, including occasional walking, kneeling, or reaching.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. or more using proper lifting techniques.

Pay
$18–$20/hour for eligible employees.
