SERVICE TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Location: Coffee Distributing Corp - 200 Broadway, New Hyde Park, NY 11040

Schedule

Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Pay

$24.00 per hour to $28.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous technical and mechanical experience preferred.
• Previous 2 years fixing coffee equipment or small appliances preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair coffee and water equipment to ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers on proper equipment use, preventive maintenance, and addressing technical questions or concerns.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with company quality standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records by documenting completed work, equipment issues, and customer interactions while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company-owned vehicle.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines to determine causes of malfunctions; dismantle machines to gain access to problem area.
• Inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems; remove and replace worn or defective parts; repair broken parts; realign and adjust components; test machine operation following repair.
• Review inventory and order parts; ship and receive machines; maintain equipment inventory.
• Prepare machines for installation at accounts; assist in installations and removals.
• Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools, such as drills, grinders and welding torches, for machine repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
