Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Service Technician to join our maintenance team at a 762-unit apartment community in Woodridge, IL. Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Diagnose and perform repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents, including repairs, cleaning, and make-ready activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and community equipment.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
• Aid with snow removal, salting, and severe weather preparation when required.
• Work closely with fellow team members and office staff to provide an outstanding resident experience.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or general maintenance preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and commitment to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or related field preferred.

Pay

• Base Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-Time Position.
• Paid rotating on-call participation required.
• Must be available for emergency events, snow removal, and severe weather response.
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs.
