Service Technician

About the role

The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years or more of mechanical and/or preventive maintenance in manufacturing equipment, and a minimum of 5 years experience working with robots/automation equipment. Experience with reading and interpreting both mechanical and electrical schematics is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventive maintenance in line with OEM and internal production schedules
• Performing scheduled inspections
• Lubricating bearings
• Swapping belts or chains
• Checking gear mesh and replacing wear parts
• Using hand tools, diagnostic equipment and OEM software to isolate and repair or rebuild critical components
• Coordinating with Controls Engineers for correct cabling, sensor placement, and safety device integration
• Performing mechanical calibrations, repeatability tests, and precision alignment adjustments
• Logging all work in the asset management system and keeping maintenance manuals up to date
• Adhering to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, wearing required PPE, and following Lockheed Martin safety standards
• Proposing design changes, standardizing spare part inventories, and refining processes to reduce failure rates and maintenance costs

The position requires strict adherence to Lockheed Martin safety standards and continuous improvement through process refinement and design changes.
