Service Technician

Essential Duties Include

• Investigate and problem solve to determine most efficient way to install changes to existing service
• Determine customer needs and most effective way to meet them then sell the solution
• Estimate the amount of time and material to complete service tasks
• Communicate with Service Manager frequently regarding scheduling
• Work around building owners and tenants to perform jobs
• Determine what is necessary to accomplish tasks and comply with NEC standards
• Communicate with vendors, engineers and other contractors to assure jobs are completed on schedule
• Contact customers to set appointments
• Strive at all times to meet budget
• Be on call 24 / 7 for 2 weeks every 3 months

Qualifications

• Wiring systems and all phases of project installation
• Electrical control work and troubleshooting
• Purchasing of electrical material and parts
• Experience in commercial, industrial and manufacturing environments
• Meeting and exceeding customer expectations and needs
• Assertive and proactive
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Journeyman Electrician License
• At least 4 years of experience as Service Tech
• Physical Requirements: Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered); able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas; able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics; able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead; able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead; able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead; possess good vision (normal or corrected); able to get to customer job sites
