Service Technician - Arlington, VA (Altaire Apts.)
About the role
The Service Technician is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. Successful candidates should possess 1 to 3 years' experience in community management, be able to lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, be available for night/weekend call duty, and be able to work during inclement weather.
Responsibilities
- Inspect property and report any safety hazards or needed repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Absorb hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, freezing temperatures, snow removal, etc.
- Absorb office staff with delivery of resident notices.
- Will be required to work 1 weekend day.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:
- Plumbing repairs
- Repair/replace locks, smoke alarms
- Appliance repairs
- Electrical repairs
- Roofting inspection/minor roof repairs
- HVAC repairs
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years' experience in Community Management
- Able to lift 25-100 lbs. on a regular basis
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Available for night/weekend call duty
- Available for night/weekend call duty
- Able to work during inclement weather
