About the Program
Our full-time, company-paid Service Technician Apprentice Program offers a detailed curriculum and unparalleled on-the-job training. Apprentices gain the tools needed to jumpstart a rewarding career, culminating in a Commercial Driver’s License with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements, preparing you to advance as a Service Technician.
Responsibilities
- Learn to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair propane and/or heating oil systems and appliances through structured on-the-job and instructor-led training.
- Complete online training modules in safety, security, and hazmat.
- Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements, as well as a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate for interstate commerce.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of propane and/or heating oil systems and appliances.
- May assist with the delivery of propane and/or heating oil as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and pull equipment weighing 50 to 75 lbs.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must satisfy English Language Proficiency requirements in 49 CFR391.11(b)(2), including the ability to read, speak, and understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
