Responsibilities

  • Accepts repair orders as assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Service Writer or assigned person.
  • Determines necessary repairs and coordinates with Service office staff to communicate these to the customer and obtain approvals.
  • Serves, repairs, reconditions, or assembles equipment as approved by the customer/Service Manager.
  • Works cooperatively with Parts Department staff to obtain necessary parts and notifies Service Manager when expedited orders are needed.
  • Completes service inspections on equipment, making recommendations on repairs needed.
  • Promotes marketing programs to customers to drive sales.
  • Participates in after-hours program, carrying the pager for a week at a time, responding to after-hours calls in a timely, professional manner.
  • Communicates with customers in a positive, professional manner, demonstrating patience in explaining repairs.
  • Notifies Service Manager of safety issues and/or accidents immediately.
  • Documents time and work performed accurately on forms provided in a legible and complete manner.
  • Ensures work is conducted safely, wearing safety glasses & steel-toed shoes and following other company safety guidelines.
  • Attends meetings, training sessions, and other company events in a positive, professional manner.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work area and the shop in general.
  • Presents a positive, professional image in conduct and dress at all times.

Requirements

  • Three plus years of previous related experience preferred.
  • Associates Degree in agricultural equipment, diesel technology, or other equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of farm equipment preferred.
  • Owns necessary tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of farm equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation.

Benefits

  • Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm, with a generally voluntary Saturday shift from 7:30 am until noon.

Pay

  • Starting wage range is typically $25-40/hr and varies by experience level.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm, with a generally voluntary Saturday shift from 7:30 am until noon.
