Service Techinican/Lube Techinician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician/Lube Tech to join our team. The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements:

Requirements

• Productivity and ability to stay on task
• 3 years previous automotive maintenance and repair experience
• Formal automotive training preferred
• Virginia state Inspector preferred
• The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management
• A high school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation
• May lift objects that weigh as much as 50lbs
• Hold a valid driver license
• Must have own set of tools

Skills

• Perform work as requested on the repair order
• Perform oil and filter changes
• Performing alignments
• Replacing windshield wiper blades
• Performing minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs as needed
• Checking all fluids and topping off as needed
• Mounting and balancing tires
• Inspecting front suspension components
• Repairing Tires using tire plugs as needed
• Familiarity with tire pressure monitoring systems and able to replace and relearn TPMS Sensors as needed
• Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
• Checking tire pressure and adjusting to the correct pressure for the vehicle
• Performing tire rotations
• Checking Battery Health and replacement of battery if needed
• Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks
• Documenting all work performed on the work order
• Operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Replacing wiper blades and air filters
• Maintaining a clean and safe shop environment
• Other tasks as assigned
