Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing all units for move-in.
- Respond promptly to resident work order requests to diagnose and resolve issues related to air conditioning, heating, appliances, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems.
- Inspect the community daily to identify and address maintenance or repair needs.
- Clear snow and ice during inclement weather.
- Work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call duty to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or similar environments.
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and appliances, and knowledge of plumbing fixtures, basic electrical circuitry, carpentry, and proficiency in using power and hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- HVAC, CFC certification preferred (required at some communities), and plumbing and electrical certification is preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is a general guideline. Compensation decisions are based on various factors including scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, and market and business considerations.
Schedule
Flexible schedule with occasional on-call duty required to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
