About the Role
Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.
Responsibilities
- Understand gas engine tune-up
- Perform component overhaul and repair
- Conduct proper disassembly of engines
- Perform small engine repair
- Maintain neat and organized work
- Perform cylinder head overhaul
- Use measurement and test equipment proficiently
- Ensure all jobs are completed proficiently and safely
- Clean shop workspace after every job
- Participate in company-offered training
- Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience
- GED, High School Diploma, trade school, or special service training preferred
- Working knowledge of the position and its relation to business objectives
- Ability to meet company goals and objectives
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving record (if driving company vehicle)
- Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing (if required by DOT)
- Ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours and days
- Dependability and ability to work independently
- Maintain good client relations
- Professional appearance
- Promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
- Ability to travel and stay overnight
- Ability to effectively operate shop equipment
- Ability to rebuild engine components
- Ability to obtain required manufacturer certifications
- Furnish all necessary hand tools, pneumatic accessories, and a toolbox for daily activities
- Protect company assets and interests
Schedule
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend hours as necessary. Outside work may be required.
