About the Role
The Service Specialist is an excellent entry-level store position with opportunities for growth within our Save Mart family of businesses. Service Specialists play a key role in front-end operations by providing friendly, fast, and effective customer service to create a welcoming store atmosphere and build loyal repeat customers.

Pay: $17.10 per hour
Requirements
- No experience required
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending
- Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Strong customer service skills
- Team player with a willingness to learn and work hard
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide a remarkable shopping experience by greeting and assisting customers, ensuring they feel welcome and taken care of
- Perform store sweeps, focusing on front-end and entrance areas to keep floors free of spills or debris for safety
- Clean registers, belts, and shelves; empty check stand trash cans; and dust or face shelves as needed
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot to maintain a cart-free environment
- Conduct price checks and assist with returning items to their correct locations, prioritizing perishables
- Assist clerks during busy times by bagging groceries quickly and carefully to protect item quality
- Perform other assigned duties
