About the role
We are partnering with a well-established mechanical contractor in the Charleston market that is seeking a Service Account Manager to support the continued growth of its service division. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical services, or construction who enjoys building long-term client relationships and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing service customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
- Promote preventative maintenance agreements and service solutions.
- Prepare customer proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and identify potential improvements.
- Collaborate with service technicians, project managers, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support customers with budgeting, repair recommendations, and equipment lifecycle planning.
- Track opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions through CRM systems.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service lifecycle.
- Actively participate in networking and business development activities within the local market.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical services, HVAC, plumbing, facilities management, or mechanical construction.
- Proven success in account management, business development, or service sales.
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Charleston area.
Preferred Experience
- Selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or retrofit solutions.
- Working with hospitals, commercial office buildings, manufacturing facilities, higher education campuses, or industrial clients.
- Experience estimating small projects or coordinating service work.
- Existing relationships within the Charleston construction or facilities management market.
