As our commercial service division continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to join our Columbia team. As a Commercial Service Plumber, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems across a variety of commercial facilities, including schools, healthcare facilities, office buildings, retail centers, and industrial properties. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing systems, including leaks, clogs, water distribution issues, and system failures
- Install, maintain, and replace piping, fixtures, valves, water heaters, and related plumbing components
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in a safe, professional, and timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance to help customers avoid costly downtime and repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing schematics
- Collaborate with service coordinators, project teams, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient job completion
- Accurately document service work, materials used, recommendations, and labor hours
- Maintain compliance with all company safety standards, local codes, and industry regulations
- Build positive relationships with customers through outstanding communication and service
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid South Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, and outdoor job sites
Skills
- South Carolina Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (preferred)
- Experience working in healthcare, education, municipal, or commercial office facilities (preferred)
- Backflow certification or other industry certifications (preferred)
- Familiarity with digital service reporting and mobile field technology (preferred)
