About the Role
As a member of the Turbo division, you will be responsible for cleaning and preparation of warranty and customer-returned turbocharger products.
Responsibilities
- Work at the direction of the Repair Department technicians to prioritize repair orders and remanufactured turbos.
- Clean and recondition all turbocharger components.
- Track repairs through SAP inventory control and invoicing, including logging production orders to capture time spent on jobs.
- Maintain records of repair and product applications for future reference.
- Follow all company personnel policies and process procedures.
- Maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, company personnel, and management.
- Keep all internal company communications, financial information, pricing, plans, and strategies confidential.
- Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity and time management.
- Perform other duties outside of your function or trade as assigned, with adequate training provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Automotive technical training preferred.
- Experience in automotive performance preferred.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to track repair orders, quality control statistics, and inventory usage through database management systems.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to use the sense of smell.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Regular exposure to vibration from tools and equipment.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Pay
The starting hourly rate for this position is $18.00. The actual salary offered may be influenced by factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location.
