Service Parts Runner

About the role

Leonard Bus Sales, a recognized leader in the distribution and support of quality school buses, is looking for a Service Parts Runner in our Saratoga Springs facility with a diversified background in parts and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Processes, picks, and delivers parts for tickets created by shop technicians, ensuring timely, efficient fulfillment of all requests and prompt communication of any delays.
• Charges parts out to the applicable line segment on the proper repair order, ensuring that cores are properly added to the pick tickets and repair orders.
• Properly codes and tags warranty parts.
• Works with company shop employees to research parts needed for a particular job they are working on.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Minimum of three (3) years parts warehouse or sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Computer proficiency in web-based programs and applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications and related departmental software (including parts inventory, ordering, and tracking systems), to include researching and looking up information.
• Demonstrates basic heavy-duty parts bus/truck parts knowledge.

Certifications or Licenses Required

• Forklift experience required; certification highly desired.

Pay

Salary: $21.87 – $26.00 hourly
