Service Manager Trainee

About the Role

As an Orkin Service Manager, you’ll be the quality control ensuring top-notch service from the industry leader with nearly 125 years of experience. You’ll train and develop Orkin Pros to protect homes and businesses, balancing technical expertise with soft skills like empathy and integrity. Responsibilities

• Lead an entire service operation upon completion of paid training
• Motivate the service team to consistently provide the world’s best service, prioritizing safety
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
• Assist with recruiting top talent for the service team
• Train and develop Orkin Pros through hands-on management
• Lead training meetings and oversee the Orkin Pro Ride-A-Long program
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through inspections, proposed courses of action, and empathetic service
• Champion innovation by supporting the team in adopting new products, services, and technology
• Monitor scheduling, routing, and inventory to drive efficiencies and productivity
• Engage in community service projects to improve your local area

Requirements

• Sales experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients

Work Environment

• Must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations, including:
• Safely using a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Safely accessing crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), which may require an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions
