Service Manager - Bobcat of Hagerstown

About the role

The Service Manager at Crownstone Equipment is responsible for managing customer interactions, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring efficient repair and maintenance processes. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to handle both internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming service customer calls or visits professionally
• Coordinate service work order transactions and ensure customer satisfaction
• Gather and estimate service requirements, including parts and deadlines
• Assign work orders to technicians and manage schedules
• Communicate job statuses to customers and close out work orders accurately
• Ensure timely and accurate work order processing, time posting, and customer follow-up
• Use service management software and Microsoft Office
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, Service Manager or similar role in a heavy equipment or construction dealership
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
• Preferred qualifications include OEM product training or certifications, familiarity with warranty claims, repair estimates, and work order tracking, and OSHA or other workplace safety certifications
