Service Manager
Job Overview
The role of the Service Manager at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. Key responsibilities include formulating objectives, evaluating performance, promoting service, managing parts, coordinating warranty claims, and ensuring safety.
Essential Functions
- Plans, directs, and controls the Service Department to meet growth and profit objectives.
- Formulates annual and monthly sales/profit objectives and expense budgets.
- Evaluates department results and takes appropriate action.
- Promotes the Service Department and dealerships by traveling with the outside sales force and visiting customer locations.
- Works with the Parts Manager and outside sales force to improve labor sales efforts.
- Maintains communication within and between departments.
- Promotes safe work habits and ensures adherence to safety rules.
- Develops and maintains policies for positive employee and customer relations.
- Coordinates warranty claim processing with the Warranty Manager.
- Administers warranty and policy adjustments fairly and honestly.
Qualifications
- CDL preferred
- Minimum of four years’ experience in related field
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Positive can-do attitude
- Strong work ethics and commitment to extra hours
