Service Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate technicians and service staff to maintain high productivity and morale.
- Cook up daily workflow and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance jobs.
- Sell recommended jobs based on vehicle needs and build strong relationships with customers through clear communication and transparency.
- Strive to exceed customer satisfaction goals and store sales targets.
- Order and manage inventory and parts efficiently to support fast turnaround times.
- Aid in the oversight of adherence to company processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Assist with payroll management and scheduling to balance labor costs and coverage.
- Monitor and manage daily sales, productivity, and profitability metrics.
- Lead by example in achieving individual and team sales goals.
- Contribute to business growth through proactive shop management and staff development.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive service management or a related role preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale and scheduling systems.
Compensation And Schedule
- Schedule: Approximately 42 hours per week (full-time, variable schedule including some weekends).
- Compensation: Hourly pay plus overtime. Monthly performance bonuses and “spiffs” (sales incentives).
